What happens if an item cannot be supplied?

Real Food Grocer works hard to keep our website up to date so that you wont be charged for items we cannot supply. Sometimes, however - like in cases of unexpected weather events - there can be sudden shortages that mean you might miss out on an item we've charged you for.

When this happens we make it up to you in one of a few ways:

1. Our most preferred way is to give you a similar item instead - we hate to think of you going hungry!

If you've stated no swaps in your notes, or we don't have anything appropriate available, we will either:

1. Organise for the item to be added to your next delivery free of charge


2. Add an account credit to your RFG account

Why do we credit your account with us and not your credit card?

In our experience, credit card refunds can take a while to process, and most of our customers have had at least one delivery before the money hits their card, so this is not the way we tend to go. BUT, if you need the money back to your card, just contact us and request it - we'll process a credit card refund at our discretion.
